Saw this today:

I think it looks stunning - yes, it's a copy in parts of almost every iconic classic car out there, but I think it does it very well, and with modern underpinnings too!

Of course the only downside would be price: "between £100,000 and £1m" (!)

What are your opinions TMF?

Looks smart but wire wheels are a bit too much of a hark back.  Still an outgoing model Jag XK underneath just wearing a posher frock.  Glorified kit car.

im not sure i like the styling of it if im honest, its almost a really good looking car, but just not quite.

as mini 360 said though, it is just a turn key kitcar really. for that price tag i can think of quite a few things i would rather have that are thoroughbreds rather than parts bin specials

it's like a chinese copy of an aston martin db5, the same way they copy rolls royces, bmw x5s etc. looks the same, but oh so different, and not in a good way. and those wheels. they are horrible. what were they thinking?!

As above.

As a Transport designer, I can't stand this.

Good design is about fresh new ideas, not copying highlights of someone elses designs, and then making a mess of it!

No imagination at all, boring.

Agreed, they've basically put a DB5 on a diet of lard. And those wheels...

Not a fan I'm afraid.

I kind of like it. It's not meant to be a fresh new car with influences of the DB5, it's meant to be a very close modern take on the DB5's styling, which it is.

I agree though that it's a glorified kit car. I'd rather buy a DB5, and the wire wheels especially don't look right with those low profile tyres

he's used his name to rip off an aston. and the only non generated images of the car are show more of his mates than the car. i admire him for the attempted but he shouldnt have copied the aston imo, should have made is own car

As an auto designer, I love this!

It's showing another way of bringing retroism into the future.

It's a coach built vehicle, something that is truly special. I don't think it should be slated because it has taken the iconic styling on the Aston, I actually admire it because of that! Aston themselves could never do this as they would ripped to pieces for not moving forward!

Fantastic looking car, very interesting to see the contrast in opinions though.
