Hi guys

Saving up for new wheels, for know I've got 12" mini lights that haven't got an offset. Could I put wheel spacers on to get a bit of stance for the summer shows?
Thanks again!

You could.  I wouldnt go too wide though.  You'll get loads of people saying you will destroy your wheel beaerings, and put more strain on this and that blah, blah blah.  To be honest I dont think it will affect much just over the summer.

I can't see why using spacers to effectively change the offset of the wheel would have any more stress or strain that fitting a wheel with that offset. Just make sure your studs are long enough and don't use the bolt on stud extenders :P

However, if you stick massive spacers on (Leepo style), then that is going to increase the loads and therefore wear.

You certainly could do.

I run spacers on my audi all year round to clear suspension components due to their low offset and I know a lot of people who do. A lot of cars run adapters, effectively a spacer with no problems.

as others said, unless you go massive (me and my mates were laughing at that leepoo guy the other day too!) you wont have a problem.

however from a styling point of view, anything more than about 10mm is going to look odd, there is no changing the fact that the wheels are narrow, and spacing them out too much will just make it look like a car with spacers on, not a wide stanced car.

I'd love to see a car driving down the road with a set of those spacers on.
