Slap it on really good n thick. As u can see above, we had the floors coated after some repairs for MOT. Make sure u get it everywhere or it will just get it and rust behind it.

i've just bought myself a shutz gun from machine mart. you need a compressor to run it but it takes all the effort out of brushing. It also comes with a cavity tube attachment so you can get in all the box sections with it. Gonna give it a wirl tomoz i'll let you know how i get on.

Make sure you primer over the bare metal before undersealing (shutz) or in a few months the underseal will peel and reveal that it has been rusting all along

:wales: underseal is a complete waste of time where minis are concerned as it dries hard, cracks when stones hit it then lets water in behind it and sweats. It looks ok for a bit then the bottom falls out of your car, please tell me you've used a wax based sealer as they're the only ones worth your time and effort.

the stuff i use never dries hard and remains flexible for years although re-application every few years is always a good idea. I also painted the panels first with primer and then with two good coats of bitumen based paint. i used the same method about five years ago when i replaced the boot floor and that is still imaculate. I've just finished the front wheel arch and inner arches and the job looks really proffessional, next i've got to strip out the carpets and seats and do the floor on the inside.

lift the carpets and see how bad it is, usually most minis leak water in (even my bosses w reg sportspack does) and this will cause the floor to rust, i've just replaced the floorpan on the drivers side so this will hopefully stop any water damage or at least slow it down for a few years!Do you think i should d othe inside floor in my mini??
