Looks better every time I see it!

Dunlop SPs? Show off!

Nice one ;-)

As you can see the paintwork is looking pretty dull at the minute as its fully flatted off and yet to be polished, That should be completed sometime this week too..

Its coming together now (slowly lol)

That would be nice lol ;-)

Its not been going too bad in all fairness mate other than finding out that the DSN brake pipe kit that I had bought somehow has Metric unions fitted, I've managed to sort them all now other than the long one that comes along the under side of the car and up the bulkhead as I've still yet to swop that one.

I have most of the loom back in and the windows too, Just the n/s sliding glass left to install before that one can be ticked off.

I`m off to collect my twin hs2`s from Carbcare later today and my plan is to get those installed sometime next week, I've ordered another exhaust thou due to me now running with twins so I`m waiting on the arrival of a new RC40 from Minispares but when ordering this it has lead me onto another problem as it states this on the Minispares site  -
There is NOT enough clearance room when fitting to old cars with rubber couplings which foul. Using QL5000 type couplings will help but re=shapinng of manifold is still required in most cases. Alternatively we offer C-AEG362 made for cars with driveshaft coupling so I will have to do a little research around this I think maybe put a wanted ad in the classifieds for the LCB as I don't really want to be changing the rubber couplings again..

Other than these little hiccups mate it`s coming together quite nicely.

I haven't taken any pictures this week but I`ll get some to update on Monday ;-)

Here's a few pictures I took yesterday, Not the best but nevertheless some pictures lol  ;-)

Waiting to re paint the top cowling for the rad, I'm also waiting for the bracket that sits on the manifold for the accelerator cable so as I can hook that up, I cant for the life of me find the securing brackets for the facia panel on the bottom dash rail, I need to source those before I can hook up the choke cable, Most of the electrics still need to be connected, wiper motor needs to go in and I may need to buy a new brake master cylinder as I cant for the life of me get the fluid down to the first wheel, I'm sure I may of missed something but im not to far off under here.

I remembered I had an LCB knocking about somewhere and so a quick flick with high temp paint and jobs a goo en..

Oh twins don't look too bad either ;-)

Front bumper`s on

And so is the exhaust although I need to drop it an inch at the rear

I must get the tyres on the wheels next week as those can go on.

Today I went to fit the new carpet that I purchased from Newton`s and it seems ive dropped a boobie as the van has a remote type gearstick and the carpet has been cut for the earlier magic wand type that's situated nearer to the bulkhead ;-(

Can't you sneak that heater hose around and under the carbs so it doesn't ruin the nice view of the engine??

Looks fantastic by the way, just don't like that hose....

I'm sure this is the way they ran originally on the early Minis Jc, Many pics that I've seen show them running just the same way, A bit of a pig I know !
