Fully reconditioned, Painted and assembled

I decided to go with a pair of adjustable tie bars to accompany the adjustable suspension, Oh I've also thrown in some Goodrich hoses too for good measure

Attached File  van 54.JPG   61.95K   8 downloads

I've also fully reconditioned the rear subframe too, Ive used Minisport`s adjust ride suspension and smooteride cones all round to give the van a bit more of a cushioned ride. All new brakes inc pipes and hoses, New brake bias valve, wheel bearings and also a new fuel pump has gone onto the subframe too

The fuel and brake lines are temporarily in place in this picture, They have since been secured all the way along using different clips but unfortunately I don't have a picture of these atm..

The engine bay after receiving a wet flatting

And another coat of primer before the top coat..

Followed by some colour ;-)

Tomorrow the front subframe and engine will be going in, I've had to do it this way instead of having the shell fully painted first due to space but im sure you`ll agree its coming along nicely..

I wanted to have the engine and subframe in yesterday but I decided to change out the driveshaft couplings first so I ended up having a bit of a game doing that which knocked me back a bit but its all done now, The engine is fixed to the subframe and all is ready to go straight in on Monday,

Next job after the engine and subframe have been bolted in is to trial fit the bonnet and doors again as the last thing I want to discover after it has been painted is that I've dropped a clanger,

I must say im quite looking forward to the next couple of weeks as its now time that I see all my hard work coming together...

He He  ;-)

I've been quite busy with it mate these last few days trying to knock the back out of it, The front subframe went back in with no troubles yesterday and I have also been flatting the top half of the van ready for a final coat of filler primer, This should be getting laid down by the end of this week so as its ready for some colour the start of next.

Sorry mate, Its GN33 "Willow green",

A totally different shade of green to the GN35 "Everglade green" that I was originally intending to use but im just not that keen on dark Green but I do love this colour on a van. It is still an original van colour and its also in keeping with the 60`s era too which I also like..
