So I've been playing around with my Mini since 2009, and I've been in the classic mini community since 2006. Something that has always bothered me is the lack of wheel specs. Not jus lack of people posting what size/width their wheels are, but the actual specs. Backspacing, offset, height, width, weight, etc. And what tires you are running.
Now I know that the community has a limited number of wheel choices. This isn't the Honda community and I get that. But there are definitely quite a few guys out there that know enough about their wheel investments to care about these details. I don't think there's anything more frustrating than not knowing how the wheels I plan on buying are going to look on my car or how far they will stick out of the car. If we put together a list of what wheels we have or know and at the very least their height, width, and backspacing, then life would be SO MUCH easier when it came to picking out arches and fitting them to car. If we know the width and the offset, we can pretty much tell how far out they will poke. And then you can very easily get the right flares.Yes, I realize that wheeldictionary.net exists, but it is seriously lacking in details and doesn't show any of the wheels on a car.
So can this be done? Can we start posting what wheels we have (or are out there) and their specs? Pictures of them mounted on a car?
