Hi,

We got to the stage of taking everything apart and off our Mini and now unfortunately it has to go due to family circumstances! The shell has a lot of rust (1985) but there is definitely some salvageable metal- our plan was to fix the rusty areas and put the car back together again as a project. The bare shell is free to anyone who can collect. We also have lots of parts we would be looking to sell or give away so if you're local and looking for something than please let us know.

We are based in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Kind Regards,

Penny

Correction - she's from 1983 not 85.

We also have the engine (998c) going if anyone wants it. Unfortunately I don't know if anyone can use anything from it as we took it apart and didn't have time to put it back together again before we moved! It's now been stored in a garage for nearly 2 years and rust has started to form on all the bits. But it's there if anyone wants it, if not it will have to go to the tip with the shell at the end of the month...

Is that the shell in the picture, if so it doesn't look that rusty! Where abouts is the rust?

Crikey, another 1983 City. This particular year seems to pop up everywhere.

The shell has now been taken unfortunately.

I was a little eager to begin with so sorted out the cosmetic rust on the outside, then decided we would take the whole thing apart and build it up from scratch, the further we got the more rust we found - as is the way! Definitely salvageable if you can weld and if we had a house with a garage we wouldn't be getting rid of her - I'm not sentimental for the metal as such but am sad to think I wont be working on her again! We even started documenting the rebuild on the forum (Project Miffy-Budget rebuild) we enjoyed it so much.

The engine is still available and I'll be posting a list in the ads section with example pricing for all her other bits either tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for the interest :)
