It's not my cup of tea either but it's a laugh in the summer

I've got a pair of bucket seats and 13" alloys may put a 1380 in it and have some fun

Hi

I've just joined on here after spotting some pictures of simplyminis new scamp. I bought one a couple of months ago and it's basically a bare chassis.

I've wanted one after having a ride in a brand new one in 1979, I was 10 at the time so it left a lasting impression !

Yours looks in pretty good condition, I would imagine the carpet and seats are pretty horrible if they have been wet so I would strip all of the insides out and see what state things like the wiring and handbrake cables are in.

Biggest problem with a lot of Scamps is that they have been properly registered. Due to their unique shape they won't go through an SVA or whatever it's called test.

I'd be interested to see some more pictures of yours as it's interesting to see how people built them slightly differently. Have a look at the Scamp Owners Club website as well.

They are never going to win medals for bodywork design, but I have always liked them in a weird way. I know its a bit naff but I think they look best in army green/ olive drab sort of colours. It seems to suit the utilitarian design.
