What Parts Do I Need?

So when I got my mini the other day the po gave me the not which had done advisories the 2 that can get done at the moment I hope are the ball joints the sheet says ns+Os front suspension has slight play in upper suspension ball joint is this a job I can take on myself or would you advise me to get a professional to do it and does anybody know the part number for what I need thanks in advance

It is perfectly possible to do it yourself.
You'll need a ball joint splitter.
There are several topics on how to do it, but I'm on my phone at the moment so can't search very easily

Same problem as me using my phone and I think my uncle knows someone who might have one if not don't I have to buy a whole new arm ?

The ball joints are on the hub not the top arm.
There are 2 different types of splitter, the fork type ones aren't great as they sometimes break.

Minispares do a ball joint kit (buy a genuine one)
It contains top and bottom ball joints.
Have a search on how to lap them in.
If you follow the advice on here (it may well be in FAQs) you can't go wrong

Yep you should be able to do it yourself, you just need to get it shimmed right. like abovethe fork ones aren't as good.

Okay thanks gents I will have a look now I want to try do it myself and do most the work on it myself but I've had no experience working on a car thought this might be a good one to learn on

With a Haynes manual, TMF, and attention to detail you can do anything!
