Unable to decide for a Mk1- Door of wing mounted rear view mirrors?

any thoughts.

Dont think there legal after 76,pedestrian safety.

Yes 1966. had wing mounted mirrors originally- I suspect door mounted are better for vision.

I can remember driving cars with wing mirrors when I was a teenager in the '70s and FWIW they were better than door mounted mirrors - thw image was always in your peripheral vision!

My '63 Mk1 didnt have any and technically didnt need them but motorways and dual carriageways were a bit hairy! O_O , so fitted the above. Perfect for the job and no need to drill holes  :D

those "peep" mirrors are only a couple of inches tall, 

but wing mounted mirrors are better for rear visibility I believe due to them also eliminating the blind spot
