Saw this on Kijiji classifieds...very original and clean example of the unique 70s Canadian-spec Minis with only 9000km on the clock.  The version over here in the late 70s had rubber bumpers, larger front signals, etc. to comply with North American safety laws at the time.  Austins were sold in Canada (final assembly in Halifax, I think...I'd have to dig that up) until 1978.

That's a pretty dear price for me!  Works out to GBP8100

What an ugly duckling, glad all Minis were not like this!

Ugly or not I hope the new buyer keeps it as standard with the original Canadian bumpers and lights, as a now rare unmodified example of its type.

Worth preserving as others have said, but those bumpers were always a travesty. How to ruin a cute Mini with legislation!

Pretty sure there is a slight gap between the boot lid and the rear bumper to allow opening.

Just talked to a guy today who owned two of these in the 70s - one just like this in orange and another in a pale yellow.  He's still wishing he hadn't traded his '72 Mini for a '70 Chevy Nova coupe!
