Bought the ACL Monotorque head gasket for small bores from Minispares. It says in the instructions that it does not need to be re-torqued - and that´s probably why it´s named Monotorque ;)

However - anyone used it, and did you re-torque or not?

I usually re-torque so it feels strange not to do it, but this is my first Monotorque gasket...

No. Dont re-torque.

ACL no longer make Monotorque so you are lucky to get one.

They where a very well known head gasket here in Australia as ACL was an aussie manufacturer.

ACL are in liquidation ( bankrupt ). Which is a shame as they made very good engine components like bearings, pistons, gaskets etc

Apparantly there is an equivelant called a Duro-torque.

OK, thanks.

However - this was the one I ordered and they still have it in stock:

They probably have bought a heap before they stoped making them.

Monotorque's should have a thin blue slightly raised bead around the holes and adges.
