Hi guys I've hand problems with one driveshaft inner cv, I got a new one made from zcars and everything seems ok with that side. When driving now there is a constant clicking nose and it's not rolling smooth, last night I lost drive to one side ( very scary and hard to control ) I think I lost drive to the opposite side to what I've just replaced hard to tell but it was pulling to the right. I have taken the other driveshaft off and it doesn't seem that but maybe the inner side is on its way out.... Can a cv failing cause loss of drive? Or am I looking in the wrong place, what about the diff? How does it work I thought I either had full drive to both sides or none at all. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks David

I believe you have a gripper diff in the diff housing which is a plate type LSD which will still drive one side, even if the other isn't engaged. Sounds to me like you need to push the non driven inner CV into the diff more.....???maybe someone from Z's will chime in....

I have the ford diff, took it out the car today and it's collapsed inside. Gripper diff required! I suppose I'd be as well replacing sprockets and chain when I'm already this far in. How easy is it to get small sprocket off?
