I restored a 1976 Mini 1000 for my daughter and I bought virtually every spare part from Mini Spares. I got the car MOTd in April and most of the stuff that I bought is probably no older than a year. Doing some work on it today I noticed that one of the rubber bushes on the end of the top front suspension arm had perished and was cracked. As I moved around the car I found that virtually every bit of rubber I have replaced is perishing. These are all new parts and they all need replacing again. I'm probably going to have to drop the front and rear subframes to do these jobs more easily.
Has anybody had similar problems with rubber parts from Mini Spares? I'm mightily p**sed off as this is a lot of work that I shouldn't have to do. I'm going to contact them and I've got one of the bits to send them back to see what they say. Of course they could just send me a new bit of rubber but it's the time and effort to fit it!!
Cheers, Paul.
