Ditching The Plenum...

I Read somewhere before, and also on turbomini's that Renault 5's didnt use plenums, and just had an intercooler.

Could i ditch the Plenum?

Make up a 2"long pipe with connector for fuel reg and one for dump valve. then bolt it to the carb?

I'm not certain on the theory but you need to run a plenum of some sort. The standard plenum also includes a restrictor ring before the carb mouth which is essential to keep the fuel pressure in the float bowl above that of the carb mouth.
The standard plenum does the job, i would stick with it.

i cut one in half and put a ram pipe in it and TIGed it back up the car ran well of turbo but like a rite bag of p** on boost so i took it back of but you have to try these things or you will never no :D
