It's great, but I wouldn't say it was designed. Rather just chromed.
It's a little bit like Top Gear extolling the design prowess of Victoria Beckham on the RR Evoque - hmm yes.

That black and white photograph is not David Bowie...
It's a Motorgraphs image of the first Minis being built in 1959 (when Bowie was 12)

The story that David Bowie once worked at BMC is (unless someone knows better) an "urban myth".

I think it really is him but not in 1959 but refitting his MPI out after fitting a pair of weld in MK1 rear light conversion panels circa 1998, I think he later found a 1965 V5c on eBay to save him paying road tax on it the tight begger! :-D

I read somewhere that it weren't Bowie in that pic working on the line? I don't know if I agree with that statement as it certainly looks like him, uncanny!
