I saw the forecast and decided it wasnt worth going. I live less than 20 miles away.

For what it's worth here is the link to get your money back.

I paid £5 for camping that I chose not to attend and went to Pod (£8) to find it flooded and no racing all day.
Disappointing, but I'm not going to ask for my money back as It's peanuts in the context of things...
It cost £68 in fuel just to get there and back!

Also cost me a fortune, traveling 157 miles to stand in rain for most of the show.

Really wanted to go to this but knew it was pointless looking at the weather reports, real shame. This is why i never buy tickets in advance.

You can't really be surprised about the attendance condsidering this ex-hurricane was all over the news a few days prior, it's enough to put most people off. Plus coupled with the fact that Imm was only the weekend before numbers where bound to be down even if it wasn't raining.

You might find this is for race meetings only
MITP has been a decent show in recent years, but I've never found it to settle into the venue at pod, might be just me but it was awesome when it was at cornbury park.

A shame I agree......but years of Mini show experience has taught me never to buy tickets in advance and always check the local weather reports before leaving !

BUT the only way to have a club stand is to book in advance. We had 100% attendance on our club stand (only four cars though!), won best club mini (Craigs GT) and it was a 500 mile round trip. 3 of us left at about half 1 as the thunderstorm and lightning was there, while Craig went to find out what the hell was going on with announcing the prize winners etc. I had money to spend on sunday, if only the traders I wanted were there..... On a positive note it was good to see Mini Spares represented by David Manners Group / MS midlands.

I ended up not going due to the weather and only live in Northampton, last year was great weather and a great show. Surely though being a mini car show & with a forecast predicted like it was they should have rescheduled it knowing it would be a wash out?

I don't get why people were bothered about the rain to be honest. It wasn't all that bad. Sunday morning it chucked to down a bit but the worst was over by about 10 ish, and certainly not what I'd call a washout. Obviously the rain affected the drag racing, but IMO that was the only downfall of the weekend.

I'm sorry HARBER07 but when half of the trade stands didn't even put up and the trade stand areas were about 2" deep in water, that's why it was a washout. If you go to MITP on a normal day the Mini's have their bonnets up so that you can see what's in there. There were a few including myself who opened them during dry spells but they were not very often. Then obviously no racing. Even the road into the grounds had 3" of water to drive through.
By 1pm there was a torrential down pour with thunder and lightning. That was the point I decided to leave. Had I known all this I wouldn't have gone myself. I read the weather report before setting off and it stated it would clear after noon.
It was a washout as far as I'm concerned.

We came on the Sunday and stayed about an hour before getting soaked and going home

Totally agree with Pauly, MITP was fantastic when it was at Cornbury.
