Hi folks, its been a while and a lot has happened.

I went from a 998 to a 1275 with a kent cam etc. I then got the itch and am about to embark on a Honda B18 swap! all in time for IMM 2017. Am I mad ?

Few, been ages since I have been here! I got bored to be honest, wanted another engineering challenge.

Amazing work! Out of curiosity, when you fit the KAD brakes, what discs and flanges are you using? Trying to make the most of their black friday deals, but wondering if its going to cost a fortune in the long run getting more parts.

Hey Steve,

The discs are Kad's own. Grooved and vented. The flanges are standard ones off my old 8.4inch brake setup. you need to drill the flange holes out to 10mm, and then buy some allen bolts (either from KAD https://kentautodeve...ant=34765835975 or ebay). The Kad discs are metric thread hence why you cant use the original imperial bolts for the flanges.

Thanks, Dave

and on a side note, DO NOT BUY the Mintex pads from Kad, unless you are only using it on the track. I had Mintex and they constantly squealed , I couldn't get them hot enough. I now have EBC Green Stuff and a marked improvement for street use.

Were they 1144 or 1155's? As after my experience with EBC, i'll never put greenstuff pads on a car again.

Car looks awesome. Can I ask what width wheels have you got and did you need to alter the bodywork at front?
Thanks

They were 1144. What happened with the Green Stuff? I had them on my standard mini brakes and were faultless. Same for the Kad calipers, so far. Granted a bit of brake dust but thats something I can live with

Cheers Steve, In most of the pics there are 10x6. I then recently changed to 13x7 mambas as I couldn't get the power down while on 10s. I miss 10's. I have recently bought another mini to fix up just so i can run my old 10's again  Yes, I have extended the front wings by 50mm. I did this by welding in more metal.

I had green stuff pads on my A4 and they delaminated at speed, broke up and jammed my calliper. Almost killed me. EBC didn't care.
