I don't know if anyone on here is bidding on this but I went to look at it the last time it was listed and all I can say is that the owner has been very clever with his pictures and that it has more filler than Halfords and very badly filled too, by all means go and see for your self but I had a completely wasted journey and I said no in less than a minute. His reserve last time was £2000 but he was prepared to accept £1750 but to be honest its only worth about £1000. The other thing is he wouldn't let me test drive it and although I had decided NO I didn't want it he was insistent on taking me out in it but he said while driving it that Auto's are for lazy people and he changed gear manually all the time, so my guess is that there is also something wrong with the box?

That's what made me drive all the way to Shefield to look at it, the guy himself is about 60 to 70 years old and realy beleives his car is show worthy, I didn't have the heart to tell him it was a pile of S***. that's been very very badly filled and then painted over with a brush. One thing I have now learnt is pics tell a million lies.

What are tell tale signs that a mini has loads of filler on it?

Just like any car if its had filler here and there and done correctly then its fine but something that has obviously been filled very badly will make you wonder what else is there on this car I should look at? As far as what to look for with Auto's you would probably be better off asking that question on this forum http://autominiregister.proboards.com/
