We have a full trader section, so you can post reviews good n bad, discuss product recalls, discuss items with traders directly. It is a two way system, we allow traders to advertise and promote in these sections and use the forum trading sections as a tool to communicate with TMF members and customers, but we also ask they participate on the forum and co-operate with any issues that are raised.

Ideally id like to intergrate a feedback system, which is verified by purchases only (upload a reciept or similar) so you get genuine reviews and not people jumping on the bandwagon when theres a problem or on the other foot, friends of the trader giving them praise.

It's a good idea in theory, but it would be a bit like eBay feedback, where if the Royal Mail deliver your item a day late, you receive negative feedback.

it would be used to give others members confidence in buying from a member we had this when i run a forum of 6000 members never had any problems it was only a thought because you cannot thank people for the purchases on here

I've bought and sold a fair bit on here and all been spot on both ways.

I personally think it would be a good thing to have on here. I usually want to thank the seller on their thread so everyone on the forum can see, but it's locked by then so something like member feedback on their profile would work well I think

Example, another forum I'm on:

How is it linked to sales?

Thats the key thing, is the adverts on a seperate area or within the forums?

If its not linked, you will just get mates of the seller giving feedback to boost the rating.

For sale section just like on here, then once the transaction is complete you do just like the feedback process on eBay, but you also have to include the URL of the for sale thread you're leaving feedback for, then obviously your feedback comment and pos/neu/neg and then that's it. Works well

There is a lot of good info there but it's hard to find I think what would be good would be to break it down into sections, perhaps suppliers and garages/workshops then further split these into counties so you could easily look to see who was any good near you. Perhaps just recommendations would be good for workshops to stop it getting unwieldy !

and thats why you state long times. Royal Mail only offer next day for Specials, everything else isn't so just follow their guidelines, 3 days for first class, 5 days for second and you're ok. Then when it turns up earlier to you get a better review.
