Has anyone seen a Perspex Rocker Cover on a mini?

 

Seen a few online on other cars and they look awesome.

 

Its pretty cool sitting there watching it working away.

Yeah it looks awesome. Can't see it being too difficult to make as long as it's strong and can get a decent seal.....

There isn't too much heat going into the engine really, polycarb should withstand that withoutn too much trouble, theres a gasket seperating it from the actual head aswell.

 

I think one of the main problems, long term, would be the oil dying the composite and the clear see through rocker would become cloudy and stained over a period of time, how long that'd take is anyones guess.

Surly the hot oil in our engines would cover it in seconds?

Yeah it doesn't take long for the oil to cover it but will soon clear up once engine has stopped. More of just a shown piece for any meets etc.....

if you had one of those it'd be a constant reminder of how milky your oil is. out of sight out of mind! ;)
