Thought I'd start a thread for this car because I know how everyone loves a bright yellow small Fiat

In two months of ownership, so far I've just serviced it. I don't really want to spend too much money on this as I have a Mini to get back on the road.

The only real problem is one small section of rust on the rear wheel arch, shouldn't take long to weld up.67685C2E-9261-4AC7-9AFE-C03A7C195382_zps

Just getting it ready for the 250 mile round trip to Santa Pod on Sunday!

Oh and I've had to hammer a huge buckle out of the wheel as I drove it into a massive pothole at 40  >_<

Love these. Had a siecento myself. Great little cars! Wonderfully simple! Red door required though lol

Yeah they're great little cars, hugely underrated.

Red door won't be happening I'm afraid, get far too many Inbetweeners comments as it is haha

Had a very quick detailing sesh today, looks much better for it but it needs a full detail with the DA and all my potions.

Decided to debadge it too, as they were looking horrible and faded, hopefully the colour will look better after a full detail

Also used some Clarkes shoe renovator polish/dye on my steering wheel, looks a million times better as it was like sandpaper and grey

Next on the list is to sort out all the problems for the MoT next week.

Looking good mate. Always liked them. My first drivable car was a green Cinquecento. Was fun lol

Blimey Harry, Your steering wheel is intact!

When i had mine, there was one of those horrible steering wheel covers on it. I got the car home and removed it to find a load of tears and holes in the leather and insulation tape holding it on where the stitching had gone.

I looked everywhere for another but they were all the same so i ended up peeling the leather off which left a horrible yellow sticky residue which was awful to remove.

Must admit, your car looks to be in good condition :-)

Any plans for it or are you just doing what needs doing and leave it as is?

Ben

Cheers! New rear plate, possibly front as well is definitely being fitted. Should smarten it up a bit.

Yeah the steering wheel is intact but the leather was in terrible condition. It's so much nicer after a quick renovation.

As for plans, it's just staying as it is until the Mini is back on the road, then I'll either sell it or possibly modify it. It depends on what funds are like nearer the time.

One thing I did notice from the 250 mile drive to MITP today in torrential rain was the tyres. It aquaplanes all over the place and you have to be really careful with the lift-off oversteer.

I might put a set of Pirellis on there, it's got Nankangs on at the moment and they're about 12 years old so probably in need of changing to be honest.

So, MoT yesterday and it failed on wheel bearing play (which oddly only started making noises as I left the garage) and excessive rot.

Got a new hub fitted today which was a hassle and did some very rough welding. It'll do though,

Still got this sill to sort yet!

Then I drove it into a tree
