Just found this photo I took of the Jack Knight 16V Mini at Brands Hatch in the early 1990's. It went up against the 16V KAD Mini in 1994 for the 'Fastest Mini in the World Race". If I remember right it was a very close race between Peter Baldwin (JK) v Bill Sollis (KAD) and the KAD Mini won.

Oooooo check the Honda z50r ( monkey bike ) out.... Used to build these aswell as the z50a's and z50m's..... Quality little bikes and worth abit now
Wish I had kept my collection now.....

Chris's Mini looks very smart in these latest photo's, I can't recall it ever being that colour, what year was that and where were they taken ?
I am still sorting/scanning all of my photo's, here's a few Mini 1000 Challenge ones from the early eighties.

Chris's Mini looks very smart in these latest photo's, I can't recall it ever being that colour, what year was that and where were they taken ?
I am still sorting/scanning all of my photo's, here's a few Mini 1000 Challenge ones from the early eighties.
Yes, I too had forgotten how smart Chris's Mini Se7en looked in later championship years, I think it was after my brother Steve Bell became established as his race mechanic and Chris then had direct access to Steve's professional garage and bodyshop facilities so there was more effort available for car presentation.......rather than the previous highly competitive Tyrrell engine in a rather tatty battle scarred bodyshell as in Chris's earlier years. At one point he was running a shell which was repaired by doing a 'cut and shut' job across the front bulkhead/ windscreen pillars, aligned with templates in the door apertures before finally welding the two parts together and he went on to win many races with that shell! I can't remember where I took these photos or what year (late 1980's?) but it looks to be in conjunction with a Mini show judging by the rows of parked up Mini's?
Thanks for posting the Mini 1000 Challenge photos, look forward to any others you find, also still sorting through mine and scanning as time allows.......would be great if you could add your pics to these other forum threads that are running for 1980's race Mini's:-

These was taken by me in the Brands Hatch paddock (I think) in the late 1970's.
These very quick green Longman short-stroke 850cc Mini's were driven by Neil Dineen and Peter Crouch.
