Hi;

Just fitted replacement outer Arches to my Mini (Welded to the Inner Arch with the Rear Shock Support).

Before I start Painting I need to know whether and how much by, do the Arches / Mudguards overghang or should the be ground flush with the boot floor front and back?

Mine overhang at the front:

On the rear LH side I have 20mm at front and 5mm at the back, on the RH side I have 10mm at the front and 15mm at the back?

It is supposed to be fluch with the closing panel, but not seam welded in, just spot welded with the closing panel and then seam sealed, it might be a better idea to seam weld over but you've got t think somewhat longterm as to how easy it'll make it for a replacement closing panel/ arch.

I'll grind it back flush with the closing panel and seam seal inside and out, what about the rear is that flush with the Boot Floor?

Not a good picture sorry:

Mine was overhanging the boor end and flush the other IIRC, I don't think it'd matter too much that it isn't.

If anything it's just a rust trap area, the inner arch lip that hangs down from the bootfloor has been rotted through in atleast one area one 3 minis I've had, might be best to grind them all flush and seam weld if you don't mind making that extra effort.
