Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone has done a 5 port 7 port or 8 port supercharged engine? I know there was a mini with a 1293 8 port cylinder head supercharged in mini vita racing that was capable of hitting 105mph in secound gear, but this was in the 60's but I was wondering if anyone has done it recently it is something which I am currently looking Into for my next project which will hopefully be picking up off the ground soon so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Alex

I'm looking into a charged 7 port too, so would be interested in replies. would like to use twin webers on it, but don't know if they can be used as a blow through set up.

105 mph in second sounds a bit like urban myth to me, need to doing about 15,000 rpm.

They replied a couple of weeks later but I've since emailed back to them and no response (2 weeks ago). That lack of response has made the decision for me, to not bother with them and go down a different route.

Will there the best out there so it's a shame not to ring them and actually talk to them.

If your looking at a 7 port supercharged engine, then I think you would be better off buying the specialist components 7 port head with throttle bodies and engine management kit they sell. They also sell a plenum chamber for the throttle bodies that you can link to from a supercharger. I think that would be your easiest option. If you did want to go down the K1100 16v head route, they sell the plenum for that engine too. This would be for a blow through setup so I would try and run an intercooler in there too. What charger are you thinking of using?

It's kind of directed at both yourself and the original poster. Or whoever is interested really. It's a shame you didn't have much joy emailing specialist components and I can see why that would put you off them. When I spoke to them directly at a show, they seemed very professional and enthusiastic about what they do.

I think I'll go for a minisport or MED 7 port head, and use some lotus esprit turbo carbs, alter my suck through manifold to a blow through and whack an intercooler on it. Well that's the plan anyway!

Sounds like and interesting and unique conversion on a mini. Be sure to post up some pictures!
