Hi;

As the title says I have 2 x holes in the Boot Floor under the Fuel Tank just behind the back of the Rear Seat. One is for the Fuel Pipe but what's the second for? Overflow?

Thanks

Yeah, that's where the overflow pipe on my '78 is routed

I was under the impression that the second hole is for the breather tube, as opposed to an overflow. There should be a small outlet on top of the tank that allows air in and fumes out. A plastic pipe should be connected to this outlet that then runs down the side of the tank and through the boot floor so that it vents outside the car. In a rebuild this breather tube can get overlooked but without it the car boot will fill with petrol fumes.
