So i have a couple of amps and quite a few speakers.

The problem is i have a buzzing when i start the engine...which speeds up as i rev if that makes sense.

Any ideas what would cause this?

interference from the engine i had it from a broken earth check to see if the engine is earthed properly if it is try cleaning it if that doesn't do anything then try getting some ferrite clips and put them on the cables for your amps.

One of my amps is earthed to the negative terminal on the battery...is this good/bad/problematic? Just it seems since the addition of this amp the problems started. But it could be in my head.

Tbf, ive got a couple of weeks off. Might rewire the whole thing.

Have you tried using a suppressor that connects to the ignition coil?

Have you set the gain on the second amp? I believe having. The gain set too high on the amp causes buzzing from other electrical items. I'm no ICE expert though

Alt whine... when it happens its a nightmare.

What mini is it? Carb/points, SPi or Mpi?

Are you running R spark plugs?

Are your engine ground strap in good condition?

Have you tried powering down the amp to see if it both or just one.

if its both it could be coming from the headunit, using a phone mp3 player with a 3.5mm jack to RCA lead to just the amps singnal can show if its the headunit of the amps themselves.

I would start with getting a set of the right NGK 'R' plugs.
