How To Test An Oil Guage?

is there any way i can check of thiss oil guage is working?

was in the car when i bought it but never fitted

i put a bike pump on it and it works :L

Is it oil pressure or temperature ?

That would be oil pressure. Hose is removable (and cut by the look if it).

Temp has a built-in capilliary tube.
