I've searched several times and can't find a topic comparing a couple of distributors.
I'm currently looking at buying a new dizzy for my 998 as the one I have currently isn't really suited to the job. Now, I know the Aldon distributors are supposed to be good but realistically you need the right advance curve set up. For this reason I've been looking at the 123 and the CSI distributors. From what I can tell they are similar, the CSI is slightly cheaper and then there's a swiftune version of the CSI with different advance curves.

What I am trying to find out is which one out of the 123 and CSI is better or are they on par? Has anyone got experience with one or both of these dizzyz and can tell me what they are like?

Thanks, James

I've fitted the 123 system to a couple of Mgc's and a DB5. Was very impressed at the difference it made.

That's promising. My current setup is a 1012 non modified with a 1275 electronic dizzy but the advance curve is all wrong and it doesn't get along with it too well

I can't comment on the other system. But the results and customer feedback I've had from the 123 system have been good.

If it's stock just stick a stock dizzy in it. Cheap from eBay or wherever

Mine isn't stock, its at least a stage 1 1275 and it just seems as though the advance curve isn't keeping up with whats needed

the 123's are good, and a really easy drop in to make somthing old more reliable, but if you want more performance megajolt is way ahead,

the reason being, with megajolt or other proper 3d mappable systems you can control part throttle advance in a much mor accurate way to get the best milage and drivability from an engine.

I have heard that they are good but it also looks like a whole lot of work to fit and then even more time to get fettled which is fine but I don't have the time available to do that so I really need a "plug n play" system such as the 123 or the csi.

I personally didn't want to go down the megajolt route, I have got a new CSI Dizzy at home waiting to be fitted.

I'm trying to work out / find out which of the two to get, what made you choose the CSI?

I don't think there's much in them but when I'm home I will fit it and post on here what I think. It's gotta be better than the 1275 electronic Dizzy though.
