right so ive brought a project k20 z cars . all running but body work is shocking.

I was just wondering .....

is there suppose to be any mounts at the back of the shell onto the cage ?
just seems a bit odd to me ?

if so . any pics would be really helpful.

bulkhead ideas would be much appreciated aswell.

ive got a m90 supercharger from a jag on the way aswell ;)

Yes its a good idea to brace the back end to stop it wobbling around, there should be two tabs on the rear horizontal bar that have holes in them that you can use, you'll need to fab up a support or by one from Z's. Here's a link to what I did: http://www.theminifo...spec/?p=1621445

For ideas of bulkheads you might have to have a search through build diary's as everyone's got a different take on things.

I for one will be very interested to see what you do with the M90, whats the plans for mounting it????

thanks for that, thats similar to what I had in mind. didn't like the way the back end seemed to move about.

I had a mini pickup with a watsons vtec in the front and supercharged that before.

Im not sure where I'm going to sit it yet, ill check that out once i have the charger and see where the most practical place is.

I will probably do a blow through type rather than as having it as part of the manifold.

Heres my build diary of the mini pickup if anyones interested

Any way I've pulled of the horrible body kit now and its held the water underneath most places so fair bit of body work for me.

What are the rear disc brakes off ?

Cheers Jim

I had a quick look on your other build, very nice. Top machining skills, do you have access to CNC??

Welcome aboard fella!

I purchased my vtec converted zcars already built.  The bulkhead in mine is a lump of carbon fibre which is sound deadened.

We're fitting a heatshield to this whilst the engine is out for a rebuild to hopefully lower the cabin temps a bit more.

More bits can be found here:

I couldn't say for sure but I do know that the outer CV is from a Ford so its pretty logical that it'll be a Ford part, you might to ask Zcars for confirmation..

for anyone whos interested the m90 supercharger is fitted and just trying to mount the charge cooler where I want it now.
the charge cooler rad is mounted upfront but main part needs a fair bit of work to make it fit. as is the original one of the jag I got the supercharger off.
it will look good when its finished tho.

ill get some pics when I can for anyone whos interested.
I think it will end up costing about 800 including the remap so it may be of interest to a few of you

Why don't you get a project thread started and get some photos up for us??
