Hi guys,

Just something I have been trying to think of the last few days and guess this would be the best place as some of you may have done it.

I've had my car set up on a RR and had my mega jolt set up to my current engine which is currently normally aspirated, however if I have a VMAXSCART suck through kit, if I was to fit the SC kit would I need to have the ignition re-mapped or would it be more of a case of re-tuning the carb to suit the new requirements.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Yes you would definitely need it remapped the ignition requirements of a forced induction engine are completely different to an NA

Ah ok cheers David I did wonder but couldn't work it out myself to be honest! Not a good idea to run it without being RR anyways!

If you run a forced induction engine with the same advance curve as normally aspirated one, the advance will be too rapid and detonation will occur. That will destroy the pistons very quickly!
