Ooh worked out how to sort the ARB drop links. Buy two 1/2 x 1/2 male rose joints and make an internal thread on the shank and use the original supplied 5/16” joints.

and then on to the serious job of taking the front off.

will be changing the flat floor mounting as it stops easy front end removal.

right. slight change of plan.

as i have spent the cash on a dog gear set i no longer really need a pre filter. but there was a problem with the bits i wanted. i wanted to fit a oil temp gauge but i also wanted AN8 hose and fitting not AN6 so a chat with DSN lead to a chat to SC with resulted in this delivery. the other bits well my self made welded up rear mounts might be past it now.

and the fronts. why not.

well that was fun. i think the drilling were a tad too big to take the 3/8 helicoils  so went out to 12mm and it is off. now need to think do i keep it or replace it.

Kz1Yjs8.jpg

and if i keep it i need to make up some better threads.

not seen these babies for quite a few years

It's surprising what tweaked factory components can withstand.
Looks very similar to my early 90's built MED engine with Longman head, except I'd had the crank wedged and only had forged minispares 1.5 rockers.
