Hi folks here's my project so far bought the car it was looking a bit sore
Attached File  IMG_20140809_131420.jpg   41.78K   105 downloads
So we started measure in and it turned out it was around 3 inches narrower than should have been so we pulled it as close as we could get

Luckily the body had split due to rust around the scuttle and top of the hinge panel I say luckily because if it hadn't I am fairly sure it would have pulled the roof down to not sure if the young fella driven would agree as I'm sure his feet prob didn't have much room left lol so we cut out the rotten bent metal and started Weldon and fitting new panels always measure in and test fitting before final weldsAttached File  IMG_20140831_153955.jpg   48.49K   35 downloadsAttached File  IMG_20140831_153940.jpg   38.88K   39 downloads
A lot straighter now wee kept going re skinned door new inner and outter cills
And sealed to prevent water getting in between panels

Attached File  IMG_20141001_113654.jpg   44.31K   36 downloads
Now all we gotta do is fill and test fit arches and paint ano a lot of people would have replaced whole floors etc but to me a mini is about the smile u get while driving it I personally couldn cope with it in the garage for months to me its a strong straight car that with a bit of paint sport pack wheels and Monte Carlo arches it will look a treat will post more pics when painted

Too low....

Any weight in the back you'll be rubbing the tyres...

I recommend you have at least 2" (50mm) between wheel and arch. if you're using standard suspension and just hilo's

If it's set as high as it'll go then you have the cheap knock off hilo's where the shafts are actually 1" shorter than they should be... get some new shafts made which are an inch longer and then you'll be able to set the suspension correctly
