So here it is!

I got bored of my 207 and wanted something with a bit more power and a bit more fun to drive. So I decided to be different and bought this!

I'm picking it up on Wednesday and I already have plans for it!

I'm going to repaint the wheels firstly to a dark grey and I also want to put a chin spoiler on the front

I remember when these first came out & have always liked them!

Looks like they hold their money well too! Lots of £££ for an 8 year old car.

I didn't pay that price! I drove the price right down! Including their fees etc, I'm paying £3200

I had a brand new one in 2004. Great car it was remapped by Amd from about 2000 miles, it used to go very we'll, a too much for the clutch you had to feed the power in or you would get clutch judder.

The brakes always felt like they wernt powerful enough for the car, a few people started to fit the bigger vag brakes that were all over eBay when the dealers used to fit the bigger brake kits from new. And they would go under the 16" wheels.

The conti contacts tyres transformed the turn in and handling on the std wheels, in the 60,000 miles I owned it I tried all sorts of front tyres...

I paid 10k for mine brand new and sold it four years old with 60k for 6200... Cheap fun

Have fun with the car! Amd get some 3m scotch guard on those from seats!

Have nearly bought one of these a few times, good choice. I've had the engine in a couple of cars and it's great and very tunable. May need to sort the body roll was the advice I was given. Enjoy.

My lad has the ltd edition one in blue. Cracking wee car. His came remapped to 170bhp but had it detuned to standard due to insurance but that was still 153bhp. HOWEVER the gearbox went BANG big style. Spat out the mainshaft bearing and blew the rest to bits, not good. So be careful if it has been mapped as you dont know what has happened to the clutch and box.

This is one is standard and has done 60k I think. I don't really have plans for remapping etc yet anyway as it is the daily

My lads car has 64K on the clock when he bought it from a Skoda dealer. The thing is he never bad uses it and i test drove it as well and it was chuffing quick with the map but the box went at roughly 100K. DMF was badly worn at that point which we thought was the issue but not as the case was.

Check the front lower wishbone bushes as these wear and will cause some iffy handling.

I really want one of these next year. How old are you to afford insuring this by the way?
