Right, so today i've had my car over to the dyno to have it fettled and see what power its putting out. We did a run first without air on the intercooler and then runs after that were done with cool air flowing through it. Dyno results were 98 hp at the wheels and 120hp at the flywheel. I'm pretty impressed and happy with this as it's a 15hp increase over the suck through setup that i was previously running. I think the things that are limiting me ultimately are the fact that im running dizzy and carb. The intercooler i'm running as well isn't the biggest and would probably benefit by upgrading to a better sized front mounted unit. Next step i believe would be megajolt to get the ignition spot on. Either way it pulls like a train from low revs all the way through to 7k at peak boost which is 10psi. Really happy with the Podifold setup and can't thank Jon enough for his help and info.


Ever thought of water injection? That's the route I think i'll be taking, with a bit of meths (after ive got things running that is!)

Spec is 1330cc, omega 6.5cc pistons, specialist components h-beams rods, kent 286 camshaft, 1.5:1 forged rockers, Benross modified head, sccr gearbox, 3.44 cwp, minispares cross pin diff, specialist components stainless LCB manifold, 9cc decompression plate, minispares ultralite flywheel.
And Havent really thought about water injection to be honest!!

I really don't mean to p*ss on your chips, but 105 hp on you suck through doesn't really match your engine spec. For example I was getting 120 at the fly when my engine was1293cc on a suck through and 130 when I bored out to 1330cc. You engine spec looks decent/quality enough, I would have thought you'd be getting at least 140 with the podifold. Something is a miss imo.

Not sure, but I'd say your cam is a bit too hot for a charger set up especially with 1.5 rockers

Aldon amethyst and ingnitor in dizzy now. But only since 1330. Standard aldon dizzy with rubbish vacuum advance ( not suitable for super charger) when 1293.

Couple of pics of my podifold install. Nearly finished now. One thing I can't decide is to keep my side exit rc40 or get a centre exit.

have fitted a few kits recently to mps3's and got good gains. just getting one set up at the mo and shout give it about an extra 50bhp.

I would say the same I bet charge is being lost out of the open exhaust port.

why not just go for methanol?

What kit do you use and how is it installed. Methanol scares the bejesus out of me, it does produce good results even if it's just assisting with knock protection.

I would advise to swap out the foam filter for something that actually filters.....
