I was lazy and never got round to sorting out my front end...plus the 18" was only in for a couple of weeks, due to it being painfully visible in a car with no security at all!
It was a little loud, yeh Hopefully I'll do something similar again one day...maybe 2 x 15"s in a boot install in a large hatchback

I had been through several systems in the cars i have had working up fro 1 10" pioneer, then the 2 x 10" jbl bass tube, then 2 x proplus subs (they were as poo as the name sounds) then a 15" kicker compvr(uber loud) and now have a 12" pioneer spl in the garage waiting for its home in the mini:)
Atm murtle only has a apline h/u and 6.5" kicker components on the shelf but soon the back seats are coming out once the issue of security is dealt with ie tints and alarm. And the 12" 3000w peak 1000wrms pioneer will go in with the kenwood 1800w amp and probably some more kicker components under the dash and will then find andother amp to power all the components, so should be loud enough?

Sounds good. You cant beat Kicker for looks and their performance, a mate of mines got 2 solo baric ones in the boot of his golf and they are the business. Not cheap tho..........

i have one of these installed in my mini at the moment i have the pioneer 3004spl and its great, it will hit just about any note you throw at it (until u get to subsonic of course) with good definition. tends to work for very low bass better so i just added some mid range speakers to compensate this. its also very loud when u wantr to just be silly.
in my eyes i couldnt care if my system was quiet just as long as it sounds good. i cant stand all these people drivin arouind with their stereos full whack when it sounds C**p and unbalnced and distorted. if it sounds great then all the better.
