Look forward to seeing the results!! Been keeping a close eye on all of this! Looks like it should be a successful run though!!

Rolling road results (in safe mode- rev limiter 5500rpm, and not full advance) still runing in, so dont want to go too mad!
I am getting more hp (20 bhp more) and more torque
Initially I was dissapointed, but the realised I was in safe mode and it still needs a different needle to improve fueling at top end.
The new torque is superb, nearly max at 3000rpm and you can really feel it driving on the road.
I was aiming for 140 -150 hp, but I think I'll have to revise it to 130-140 (looking at how the chart is plotting - still rising at 5500 rpm)

On the chart the new readings are in red, old in black.

How come you're running it in again? I thought you were running it in last time you were at the dyno?

Not a case of running it in 'again'. A case of still running it in. Have only done about 10 miles since last visit. I have made some more mods which meant it need the fuelling sorted out again so I can properly drive it and run it in.

intresting results, I can understand your disappointment but power isn't easy to make. It seems a similar results to a suck through setup.

It's still good power for a mini so don't be good disappointed. If it's reliable stick with it and enjoy is my advice.....

Its definately alot quicker than when it as a suck through, must be the higher torque, low down. Wait and see what the next rolling road session brings, when things are cranked up and I get a BBE needle (as the fueling isnt right at the top end)

Figures don't always mean that much..... it really is how it performs on the road that counts

Do aldon not file your needle to suit?

Yes they can do, but I prefer to have the correct off the shelf one where possible or at least as close to as possible. I have too many modded needles knocking about not knowing the profile, which is a pain.

So true. Bhp means nothing really. Torque and drivability mean more to me.

After a summer if not being able to drive and test the motor due to what I thought was a fueling issue, transpires it was a dodgy plenum carb gasket. I have managed to go for a spin today and god its quick. Have done a few performance upgrades that can be activated at the flick ( well pull) of a switch. Including water/meth injection, more agressive ingnition curve, disabling the blow off valve so it doesnt open at high boost and shift light. Put my intercooler back on( wasn't on when last at rolling road) also put 19% reduced light weight pulley. Next week I'll be ditching by blow off valve for a boost control valve instead (much neater and smaller)
I've decided to not be too silly with weight loss and have put my spots/fogs back on.
Here's some pics

Heres the mad max switch. I converted my now defunct heater knob to lucas pull switch

Some more pics
Fuel cell, low pressure injection pump, water/meth tank and pump

Upto date pic of engine bay with new intercooler bracket

I'm really please with a flash of inspiration I had yesterday and have 2 vents in the bonnet fornthe intercooler. A well done goes to the first person who can find them.

Been on the rolling road today. Got the fueling tweeked, now runs spot on. Got my aggressive map activated and my water injecton works. Happy days. Now finally get a few miles in, retorque the head stud nuts and do a power run. I must get round to putting the onboard camera in and do some filming
