Hi Question

would I be right in thinking that most 1275 or1380

get about 120 HP and thats about all you can get

and that most people use a Hif44

If the answer to this is yes I think I know why

Thanks

No way you could get around 150 mark with a supercharger
Turbo is the way to go for monster hp
I know some one who had a 1380 turbo making over 220 but to be honest I wouldn't trust a 1380 rarther go with a sensible 1293 possible up to a 1330

A HIF44 is still good at 300hp, although that's with a bit of nitrous too.

There are plenty of people running over 200hp with a HIF44.

Kezzkitkat, that Edens car by any chance?

Mine makes 180 at just 16 psi. Turbo, standard turbo hif44. Not sure why people mess about with superchargers on an a series, kits are highly priced, most are inefficient.
Very good power can be gained from a turbo a series with relitively little financial outlay

Hif 44 carb can be used with really any output of hp just require the carb to be tuned, modified needle to suit your engine which is not a 5 minute job ,
Take a look on turbo minis about the hif 44 it the most common used unless you speak to one chap who doing a 7 port turbo engine which is bonkers
