The clutch connection was just a case of adapting the pedal to work with the clutch cable.

It does sound amazing. Can't wait to get it finished and on the road :)

Looking good! What major items do you still have to sort out?

As per another post today I need to bleed the brakes.

Paint and fit doors

Fit polycarbonate windows

Wire wiper motor up to a retro fit flick switch (not looking forward to that)

Arches, roof and boot lid

And finish a few other bits of wiring including hazard and rear fog

Ok, you had a cable connection. The cbr 1000f that i bought has an hydraulic clutch. Maybe I can use the standard hydraulic clutch pedal of the mini. Did you use the original mini dif in your setup ? Can't see on the pics how you adjust the chain tension. Do you have some more pics of the dif setup with reverse ;-) :-)

Keep up the build ! Nice to see a bike engined mini that is not an r1 or busa ;-)

At first i was going to put the gsxr1000 in the front of my mini project , but i decided it wouldn't fit so it ended up in the back , i bet some one has managed to get one in the front though , nice job by the way.

The chain tension is adjusted by simply shimming the diff cradle as I have it seperate to engine cradle.

It's a very tight squeeze for the engine and diff. That much that the fear selector shaft runs through the chain area I between the gearbox sprocket and the diff.

I haven't done anything about reverse. I've had kit cars with no reverse and it didn't bother me. I'm just going to put it through MOT and hope it doesn't get picked up on

Yes it seems very tight  :proud:. I can't wait to start the build... I want to make this since years.

Is diff that you use the original mini diff ?  In belgium it is not allowed to mount the bike engine :shy:. But because the bike engine is also 1000cc, technical control maybe doesn't see it  .

more pics would be nice to have some more inspiration. :shy:

Do you have any pictures of the subframe after you modified it to fit the engine? ( I assume you had to modify it)

Any detailed pics of how you mounted the engine?

Trying to determine if it would be worth the hassle to fab up my own mounts for my R1 or just go with a kit...thanks.

Hi. I'll try and get some pics tonight of the subframe. It's basically a box section running from pillar to pillar on the subframe with two mounting tags to the rear of the engine and I've welded box section to the front of the subframe to carry the front engine mounts.

I ended up having to make my manifold from scratch as original wouldn't work but I'm happy with how it's turned out

Much appreciated! Yeah I figured you were using a custom manifold... looks good
