Battery Question....

Best Answer firstforward , 02 November 2014 - 02:48 PM

You can fit any battery subject to physical size and the type of terminal connection compatibility.

I fitted one of these but the battery casing needed some plastic shaving to get it to fit.... http://www.battery2u...E44-silver.aspx

I would not buy a second hand battery, especially at that price, buy a new battery, it might have been originally sold at the end of its shelf life, been stored not in ideal conditions prior to sale etc, or not maintained well with the previous owner.

Just a quick one to the I.C.E crowd, I'm in the process of rebuilding my twuck, the yellow nomad thing in the project section of the forum, and I have an electrical question.

Now I am filling the car with a fair amount of electrical extras, led flashing lights, light bar, interior lights, cb radio, cd player, amp etc etc etc, sirens, bells whistles.... You get the picture.

Obviously I am upgrading the alternator to make more power, but would any damage to the electrical system be done if a much larger battery is put into the system.... for example one from a diahatsu fourtrak. HB 335 HALFRAUDS BATTERY.

Here's a linky to one on ebay.

All forms of response welcome!

I won't need to buy it, its mine! I had it lying around thought I may as well chuck it on ebay, I know its on for a silly price, but if someone does buy it, its 90% price of a new one!
Did 600 miles in a fourtrak, and, well, that's it. been off the car for about 2 months so I know its history!
I won't need to shave anything off, my battery box is Mahousive! Shame the fuel tank doesn't have the same capacity of storage!
