Engine is sounding so sweet now, great work Al. On the oil front, I've got the Driven run in oil from Keith Calver.

Hi Chris, I did quite a lot of research on this, my conclusion is that Millers CVT is the best, including for these 16v conversions, but it is not suitable for running in, I'm using mini spares own branded oil for now, I'll switch to millers CVT once run in.

Millers isn't cheap but considering the expense of the build and the importance of oil I'd say it's worth it!

 

Thanks for the info! I'm very torn on what to use personally. SC seem adamant that you need to use 15w40 or 10w40 weight due the the BMW top end, but I really don't know. I've been running in with some cheap Silverhook 15w40, and got some Millers Pistoneeze 15w40 to go in next, but this is once again making me stop and think.
