I'm a new owner of a MK-II cooper, but unfortunately being a rather tall chap, I could do with removing the original steering wheel (which is a shame...) and replacing it with a smaller one. Thought that a nice classic looking wood rimmed one would look nice, and wondered if anyone knew of a suitable replacement or knew where to get one from?
cheers

i think mountney still sell them, they arent too expensive, or if you're feeling flush you could look at a moto lita, thats what the works cars had.
either that or get yourself off to a couple of auto jumbles, there's usually plenty there, thats where i got mine from. dont be too worried about the boss, a lot of them have the same pattern holes, and you can pick up a new boss fairly cheaply.

Just to let anyone interested know - I bought a astrali wooden wheel from midland wheels at the bargain price of £39 (ex VAT & delivery)
Anyway this is the cheapest I have seen - link:

Just need a boss kit at £11 ish to fit it.

It had better not be! :saywhat: The original wheel is massive (it's a 1968 mini original) - I'm counting on 13.5 inches being a little smaller!that astrali steering wheel will probly be bigger than ur old one
Having said that, the steering drop bracket has now been removed which means I can now get my knees together a lot better underneath the steering wheel. You never know, I may have an almost new astrali wheel for sale soon! - just going to see how it goes.
