Speaking to most people most wheels were ditched as scrap when the price of alloy went up. My dad says there was a big scrap run around during the early 80s everyone was skint, price of alloy went up, wheels were weighed in. The car scrap age scheme will be the kiss of death for future classics. My wheels are the 10" version of the 12" wheels was on the original and that went on most 1275 replicas. I suppose not many were sold anyway as you would have needed to be a true fan to put them on a 850 as my car is.

I think these look amazing! I like the 12" ones, and I think the design works just as well on a 10" wheel.

id keep them and use them as they are so rare and will be a good talking point. I think they need to be on a car of the right period though to be honest, an early 1275GT would be lovely with these on!

I do know of the whereabouts of a set of 12" wheels in a very VERY similar design for metros from the early metro race cars, I could be tempted to get them now I think, ultra rare on a mk1 metro

They look pretty good on a 1275 GT in my opinion too...

I am in agreement with both comments they do look good on a 1275GT and a rally metro. Wish I had a 1275 to put them on 😃

Depends on condition and what tyres they have but a decent set of 12" silverstones must be worth £100 each I have had a couple of people inbox me asking if I want to sell my 10" .

Wheels have been refurbished and powder coated look pretty good although I can't figure out how to upload the pictures from my phone. Just need to work out what tyres to get for them ? Any suggestions ?
