That green looks horrendous! If you need a hand, more than happy to fix it for some sort of blue or a gradient wash in photoshop.
Anything but that abrupt green stop. Looks like a 1998 geocities site!

I like the banner, put some holly berries on the green that'll sort it.

sorry, but I have too agree, the green doesn't work.
adjust the gradient levels so that there's at least 75% image. you only need the 25% to be a blank background for the logo/header.
perhaps a red would work well with the red mini..?
If you really want to go for it, replace the light blue on the logo for a 'christmas' green

Shame you can't read the banner unless you lean up close and squint your eyes.

I like the idea but it's execution is mediocre. If you were to take the faint white outline off the small text on the logo and change it all the black, then it will work. It's hard to read, and makes a fairly nice logo that someone has put effort into look bad.
