I have too many car's and am considering selling my 1976 1275 GT in retro Antique gold.

Not many MK3 solid front subframe GT's left

It is a genuine car - solid and straight. It has new s brakes, A set of rostyles or the minilites available

Excellent original interior/seats/carpets in black (currently fitted with later candy stripe)
A maniflow stainless exhaust.
It has had new door steps and A panels, good doors fitted and just needs a prep/respray - I have some original Antique gold paint.

It was in the process of a colour change(white) but easily reversed if originality required.
Low number of owners, some service history, known previous owner who owned it for a good while.

Solid car, I don't know of any panels required (maybe a rear valence as I managed to ram it with my trolley jack!!)

A+ engine fitted

Runs and drives,

Since the pics are 6 years old its a bit difficult to give a valuation; are you saying its still like shown in your 2008 pictures?

It was driven into dry storage at that point and remains the same as the pictures other than a layer of dust!!

It has been started periodically too.

In fact it is a "Barn find" so that makes it worth more - right !!!! lol

I reckon about 1400 to 1600 ish. Considering there have been a few sell now for 800-1600 in the same condition.

What solid ones with new S 7.5 brakes?

How different with an MOT? It should not take much to MOT it

Has it got the original interior in good condition? That's a big factor in the value.

If it's a 76" it should have 12" wheels and 8.4 discs. So the 7.5 brakes are an add on, which you can pick up for £200 (in fact I paid £150 last month)

The antique gold would be nice, but its white, green and red, so it would need a spray job.

And even if it's under cover I'm pretty sure it would have deteriorated in the last 6 years since the pics were taken.

There isn't more rarety to a 76" car than a 1980 car, other than the roof guttering has the drip rail, which I can't quite see on your pictures

The big money are for the 10" 69" to 74" gt's.

Yes agreed the big money is for the early mk3 hydrolastic cars.

This is what I would describe as a mk3.5 with a solid mounted 4 bolt front subframe and rod change,

The brakes are new and genuine AP calipers, lots and lots of extras including sumpguard, uprated suspension inner wheel arch guards (no longer available for the clubman) and many more.

This car was originally supplied with 12" wheels but the plain velour interior not the nasty candy stripe. the early grille and single system brakes, single stalk steering colum and mk3 switches and importantly solid mounted front subframe. so probably closer to the early mk3 car than to the 76 - 81 Mk4 car.

And unfortunatly probably worh more in bits.!!

With a ticket I reckon it would do about £2200(ish), as is about the £1200 to £1400 mark

A similar car

Ok it's not a gt but is a genuine tax exempt car, so add about 40-50% onto the value as a comparision.

If it were mine I'd strip off the extras to sell separately and then MOT what's left!!

That clubby looks nice and solid and seems fairly priced at £1000

http://www.ebay.co.u...cvip=true&rt=nc

In comparison this GT is availalble !!!

http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2346369c6c

Do you think GT's are only 40% more than clubbies? Unlike coopers that are 200% more than std at least?

Sell it on 12's then? Or I might sit there for another  6 years!!!lol

At the end of the day it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.

My advice would be to get some up to date pictures with the car original as possible, and put it on ebay with a reserve that your happy with. Then sell the extras.
