Hi all,

Got these wheel trims and thought I would see what they look like.  There like the Mini 25 trims and various other Minis with 12" wheels just have different centre caps for each model.

I am wondering what wheel nuts you need to use as the thread from the rear and front hubs doesn't poke through the wheel trim at all for the nut to go on or are there different types of 12" steel wheel?

Grateful for your thoughts and answers

That above is just a standard 12" wheel hub cap, its only the stickers in the chrome centres that are different. Hence why I used to pick up scabby 25 hub caps just for the centres and decent non 25 ones to use the centres on and never used to pay more than a few quid each for either.

They do however use special nuts with a plastic collar, as the hub cap is retained but the wheel nuts themselves. Although over tightening of witch does/will crack the hubcaps.

That's some of my collection, I've got a pile of just as many cracked (some only slightly) and damaged ones that I don't intend on using.

I have a handful (i.e. not a full set I don't think ) of the wheel nuts with the plastic collars on, and a full set (I think !!) of the covers.

I'll dig them out, confirm how many I've got and take some pictures if you like, although probably not tonight maybe tomorrow.

Phil.

I don't think you can buy the Nuts, collars or nut covers new any more.

I am currently looking for the nut covers.I already have the nuts and collars and could dig them out and send a pic if you need it

Cheers

Ben

I'm pretty sure there is only one trader at the shows that still sells new mini25/10" mini special nut covers.

If you happen to come across any of the plastic covers that fit over the nuts at the shows, ill pay handsomely for them ;-)

Ben
