The bits I need are obviously gonna be like hens teeth.

Looks good ellie, bargain too! What are you doing with the overriders and coner bars?

Ive just bought a 25 and am looking for wheels, covers, the lot.
It's hot mini lights on it for now

As for the hubcaps, they do appear on eBay quite often but some people ask stupid money for them.

The way I ended up such a collection was to look for 25 'ones' with decent centres, then looking for undamaged Mayfair ones or hubcaps with missing centres for a few quid each at the shows to mix and match.

Once the hub capes are cleaned, given a go over with a scotch brite, the black squares all masked up and giver a dusting of silver, they come up look like new.

Sounds like a plan, I've got a couple of sets on my ebay watch list now. Can you still get the wheel nut covers new?

I did mine the other way round

Black first

Then cut out a piece of thin card to fit the black bits which i then made copies of using masking tape, stuck them in the squares and then went over the whole thing with silver.

Came out really nice but i can't find an 'after' pic

You can, but I've only ever seen them available from one trader at the shows, but can't think who.

Standard, the squares would have been just the black plastic the hubcaps are made from. Still, either way its a boring job masking up and then carefully trimming with a scalpel all 8 squares per hubcap.

All I can remember is a small trader with a red table, lots of red and yellow boxes and normally a selection of cheap mk1 grills on display.

If you happen to come across any of the plastic covers that fit over the nuts at the shows, ill pay handsomely for them ;-)

Ben, how many wheel nut covers you need? I've just bought a full set.

When I sold my 25, I gave with it, 16 spare wheel nuts and a full set of nut covers. I wish I hadn't now because it sounds like the new owner is going down the "chrome bumper route" as I call it. So I could have sold them to someone who will actually use them. Oh well it's all gone now.
