Well, did you know that MG stands for Morris Garages?
DB (as in Aston Martin DB7) stands for David Brown!
SS (as in SS100 Jaguar) stands for Swallow Sidecars - Jaguars original name before the war brought about bad connections with the symbols SS.

SS in terms of American cars is Super Sport

SU stands for skinners uniob.
TVR is taken from the owners first name....TreVoR...i do prefer TVR though

The 'S' in Mini Cooper S doesn't stand for anything, it just sounded good.
