I'd be very interested too. I've been considering shipping a kit from Trinidad. If I could get a frame, shafts, alternator mount and a servo relocation bracket over here I'd pay over £500.00. Ideally I'd want it to be an install with no body mods at all, using the full injection system and I think the Micra setup at the moment is the closest to that. I might still go Suzuki Swift though, the power from the Swift GTi is good and the oil filter is just in the wrong place on the Micra engine!

They often fit a remote filter on a k-series swap so theres no reason it couldnt be done on a CG13

Indeed. My k-series filter was up under the wing by the vent hole, wasn't too hard to do.

No not hard, I've been planning to do it with hard lines rather than rubber hoses as there are some really nice systems available now. It's just another thing to add to the list though!

I've changed the oil filter on my Micra build a few times now, its a bit awkward but not that hard.

Honestly I would not bother with a remote filter. Most modern cars are more of a pain than these engine swaps when it comes to oil filters

What year was the k11 installed?? Sorry no k series of the back of my hand I'm a rover guy through and theough but been there and done it this seams like a good Idea especially if it fits with all mini running gear with no mods to the front inner wings or major to the bulk. Cheers.

It's so nice to read some open to suggestions and criticism. Had allspeed got some feedback on their frame, they'd have realised it was no good.
I'm glad to see someone on tmf sealing their thunder and hopefully make a few quid out of it.

I'll be keeping my eye on this, very interested in a kit.

What sort of timeframe are you looking at with this?

Erm.... Need to finalize the design, make sure its up to the job, look into stress testing (want to make sure everything is strong enough). Then hopefully into production mid february, with working full time its going to yake a few months to get iff the ground.
