We moved into a 70's house last year. Luckily the decor isn't quite so "dated" (no wood panelling on our walls) but need to replace the pink bathroom suit, knock down kitchen wall and put new kitchen in to make a nice kitchen diner, put log burner in and redecorate throughout. Oh and fit new double glazing...
So far both the kids rooms are done, and we've replaced half the roof (got dormer windows with felt flat roofs) so that's delayed the double glazing!!

Will watch your thread with interest :)

Also just noticed your location... I moved from Carterton to where I live now. What part of Witney have you moved to?

Right so progress update !!!

I smashed down the porch fully now, did all the first fix for the wiring !! popped some floor boards up to get an idea of the plumbing situation and it all looks good so happy days.

Tomorrow I will be cracking on with the wiring and hopefully my designer buddy will have some plans for me to play with also !

Photos tell the story !

Ok so here it goes ....

Planning Permission !!! Done

Building regs are in the pipeline and I have been a busy bee getting other things done. Had a mate plaster 3 rooms and waiting on the upstairs back rom to be finished.

Bathroom walls are done, floor space has been opened right up , and i boarded out the loft as per regs for having a boiler up there. Plumber is getting a call this week and hopefully some bathroom type stuff will get ordered on payday. Ive also removed a 12" thick front pathway to make way for the front extension which was a ballache !!!!

My wife and I have restored a few houses now. You're at the fun part - smash the old stuff out and put it in a massive skip!
